Arrival & Departure

  • The earliest check-in is 3pm and the latest check-in is 8pm.

  • Check-out is 12pm on your day of departure.

  • Please follow the address on the website for directions, but you can also find our campsites on Google Maps.

  • If you have problems finding the campsite, please contact us via email or telephone.

Day visitors

  • We do not allow day visitors, except in exceptional circumstances!

  • We have a total occupancy for each campsite and we strictly limit the number of guests that we allow on site.

  • We can therefore not allow access to non-paying visitors, who may spoil the peace and tranquillity and put extra pressure on the facilities.

Vehicles allowed on site

  • VW-sized campervans are welcome but we do not have access for caravans, large camper vans or motorhomes. Oversized vehicles will not be permitted on site.

  • Parking is on your pitch and only one car is permitted per family unit, consisting of 4 people.

  • Yamp Camp will not be held liable for any damage to vehicles that get damaged due to driving on land operated by Yamp Camp.

Dogs

  • We are happy to welcome dog owners, who have well behaved, non-yappy dogs which are ALWAYS on a lead.

  • Owners of an un-attended dog (or dog’s mess) will be required to leave and without compensation.

Campfires

  • Each booking area has at least one fire pit for you to use.

  • Please ensure that fires are only built on prepared fire pits, or specifically marked areas.

  • It is strictly forbidden to start a fire on unburned ground without the Campsite Warden’s express permission.

  • We insist that all firewood burned on site is bought through us. We have plentiful supplies of firewood & kindling on site (£9 per bag).

  • Our campsites are surrounded by woodland, which is under threat from destructive diseases such as Dutch Elm disease, Ash Dieback and Bleeding Canker in Horse Chestnuts. These may be spread by spores from burning wood and while we are sure our wood is disease-free, we cannot take the risk on wood from unknown sources.

  • We also do not allow processed wood, which are invariably polluting & include nails and other metal objects. Our meadows are grazed by livestock in the closed season and these can cause suffering and death.

Barbecues

  • We only allow BBQ’s that are off-the-ground, but you can have a campfire barbecue if you wish (bring a grid).

  • Disposable BBQ’s are strictly not allowed.

Anti-social behaviour / Noise policy

  • Non-acoustic music is not allowed (ie radios, phones, car stereos etc.) and while we tolerate acoustic music, people must be considerate of their neighbours.

  • Banter around the fire until the early hours is encouraged, but quiet time is after 10pm and before 7am (which includes early-rising children).

  • Disorderly behaviour, gratuitous noise, shouting, singing or screaming will not be tolerated. We reserve the right to immediately ask you to leave should this occur.

  • Hen & Stag parties are not permitted.

  • We do not allow fireworks, Chinese lanterns, generators, silent discos, or anything that will negatively affect the enjoyment, peace and tranquility of your neighbour.

  • We reserve the right to ask for the cessation of any such item immediately.

Rubbish & Waste

  • We ask that all rubbish is removed from the site and note that you will need to bring bin bags with you. We manage our campsites sustainably and we cannot deal with large amounts of rubbish.

  • As such, we suggest that all dirty / wet waste is kept separate from dry / clean waste to allow a comfortable journey away from the site.

  • Local recycling centres are open (9am to 6pm) 7 days a week. They are at Maresfield (TN22 2HN); Lewes (BN7 3PS); Forest Row (RH18 5DW) & Burgess Hill (RH15 8AR).

Personal Property & Injury

  • When Camping with Yamp Camp, you accept that we cannot be held liable for any accident or injury sustained during your visit and we accept no responsibility for loss or damage to any of your property.

  • Please be aware that there may be unfenced ponds, streams, steep banks, uneven ground and tree swings on site, so children should not be left unattended at any time.

  • In making this booking you are accepting full responsibility for yourself, your booking party and your children and you are agreeing to abide by our terms and conditions.
